    Description

This listing is for a FANTASTIC vintage wedding gown from the 1950’s!
It has all the bells and whistles!
It is a princess style. Cap sleeve, fitted lace illusion bodice. It flairs out in points over the hips.
The neckline is wide and scalloped. It has simple tiny pearls all the way around the neckline.
The skirt is a floor length full skirt with a ivory satin lining and 2 layers of tulle netting to the hem. What is so unique is the tulle netting is a VERY LIGHT SOFT BLUISH GREY COLOR. Refer to photo #3. It is so faint that it is hardly noticeable! I love it and think it looks really sophisticated and unlike every other vintage wedding gown.
It has 40 satin covered buttons with crochet loops. They are buttoned over the zipper. Unfortunately, the zipper is stuck as I have shown in photo #11. I’m sure that a seamstress could get it unstuck. I did not want to tear the fabric so I did not stress it.
It has an ivory underskirt made of rayon with a drop waist and deep flounce to mirror the dress.
It has a 2 tier hoop skirt as well. The elastic waist has lost it’s elastic. I’m not sure if it was supposed to hit on the waist or hips. The bottom hoop has a break in it. It is stained.
The gown has a few tiny stains. The underarms are slightly stained.
This does not have a veil. However it does have sleeve gauntlets that go to a peak over the hand. They are also adorned with tiny pearls. They have 3 covered buttons that tighten the sleeve. I have supplied measurements in the photos.
The tulle has a 6” tear in the outer layer on the front right side about 2/3 of the way down the skirt. I think it could be stitched close so that no one would notice. See photo #12.
It also has a garter made of soft blue satin and ecru colored lace. It has a small millinery bouquet on the front.
Suffice it to say that this is a RARE FIND! It would be lovely floating Down the aisle!
