The only hole we could find was a small one in the lace at the very base of the dress. It is hard to find, but if you wanted to have an expert fix it, they could. There also appears to be a couple of drops that almost seem like clear wax on the back of the bodice near the zipper There is a third one on the inside of the dress next to the zipper which is currently preventing the zipper from zipping closed the last two inches or so. It looks removable, but we didn't want to tear the lace, so check with your cleaner about it. Overall, this is an incredibly well preserved vintage wedding dress that has maintained its original color quite well and looks absolutely gorgeous!

Vintage 50s 1958 LACE WEDDING DRESS Cupcake Full Skirt sz XS/S
If you are going for that sweet look of the swing era for your upcoming nuptuals, you will LOVE this vintage 50s wedding dress! This dress was custom made for a lovely bride in 1958. It features a beautiful lace bodice with lace down the bottom half of the skirt of the dress as well. The remainder of the outer layer is like a sheer, crisp nylon and the inside of the bodice is lined in the same material (maybe stiff rayon?) that makes up the bottom layer of the skirt. The skirt is actually comprised of three layers: the opaque bottom layer, a layer of tulle to give it fullness, and the outer layer of sheer nylon and lace. We have photographed the dress with our petticoat underneath to give it a bit more fullness, but the petticoat is not included.
The condition of the fabric is amazing for this vintage. The only hole we could find was a small one down at the base of the skirt near the hem. You have to search to find it -- it would be fine left untouched or you could ask a tailor to repair it. The color of the dress is remarkably well preserved, still maintaining its original ivory color with no uneven discoloration or pit stains. There does appear to be two spots on the outside near the zipper and one on the inside near the zipper where either some wax was dropped or a little waxy pad was attached...we're a bit perplexed by them, but a professional cleaner should be able to get them off. If for some reason they can't, you could have your seamstress / tailor add something to cover them. The one on the inside obstructs the zipper a bit on the last two inches so that it doesn't zip all the way up. If the cleaner doesn't take it off, you could replace the zipper.
The measurements of this dress conform with a contemporary size 4-ish, but every figure is different so please...
